Rombola Family Farms is seeking a passionate and driven Irrigation Manager to join our team in Griffith, NSW. The Irrigation Manager is responsible for the day to day irrigating and fertigating, in excess of 1200 hectares of Melon, Pumpkin and broccoli crops. You will be responsible for the coordination of all irrigation infrastructure servicing, repairs and maintenance and trouble shooting and coordinating all key maintenance aspects of the system.

This is an intensive horticulture enterprise, which requires a manager that is motivated, hands on and able to work under pressure. This position will suit an individual with a mechanical aptitude and a flair for technology.

Key operational accountabilities include:

• Work with the grower/s to monitor plant growth, soil moisture, nutrition, and health. 
• Utilise scientific methods to calculate crop water requirements. Taking advantage of soil moisture monitors, satellite imagery and hyperlocal weather forecasts.
• Responsible for the planning, programming and application of irrigation and fertigation to meet crop requirements.
• Overall accountability for all irrigation infrastructure.
• Work closely with the production team, to ensure agreed production practices and systems are delivering the desired result.
• Troubleshooting irrigation issues and conduct maintenance and repairs.
• Undertake basic preventative and scheduled maintenance of the irrigation infrastructure, plant & equipment. 
• Maintaining accurate irrigation and fertigation records in-line with company protocol.
• Maintain adherence to the safe and correct storage, handling, mixing and transportation of chemicals and fertilisers ensuring attention to correct dosages. 
• Organise and supervise irrigation team on a day to day basis.
• Meet budget expectations for irrigation commissioning.

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

• Experience in irrigation coordination and management horticultural enterprise. Experience with subsurface drip and deep well bore pumps would be an advantage.

The Farm Operations Supervisor is a key member of the Rombola Family Farms production team. This role will oversee operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, services and cost effective management of resources (including plant, equipment and human resources). The role will also manage overall day-to-day operations and supervision of direct reports to meet the needs of the production schedule.

Key operational accountabilities include:

• Ensures all activities are completed on-time and within budget.
• Work hand in hand with the maintenance manager to ensure farm operations have the highest possible equipment availability.
• Directs the allocation of human resources to specific tasks based on skill and reliability, in line with the agreed production schedules.
• Allocates plant and equipment to specific tasks based on suitability to meet the production schedule.
• Works closely with the production team, particularly the grower & agronomist, to ensure agreed production practices and systems are delivering the desired result.

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

• Qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of qualifications and/or industry experience in horticulture.
• Proven ability and minimum 5 years’ experience in the farm operations field and a track record of success in achieving production targets.
• Understanding of commercial realities including exposure to and participation in financial, commercial and planning decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop work plans and achieve the goals of these work plans.
• Good with numbers: analysing cost and want to have input into Capital Expenditure and farm expansion plans.

• A medium level of competence and experience in the operation of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook. Practical understanding of the use and application of farm-related software programs and high level of computer literacy.

The Factory Manager is responsible for the day to day production facility operations, supervision of workers/contractors and will work collaboratively with the supply chain team. Rombola Family Farms grows over 4000 hectares of horticultural production. We have a number of produce grading and packing lines with refrigeration and cool room infrastructure. Crops being produced on the two sites include almonds, wine grapes, citrus, mangoes, seedless watermelon, rockmelons, broccoli, and pumpkin.

Key operational accountabilities include:

• Manage the operational performance for the production facility ensuring daily production targets are consistently achieved.

Rombola Family Farms is seeking a passionate and driven National Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Griffith, NSW. Rombola Family Farms grows over 4,000 hectares of horticultural crops in three states, NSW, NT & QLD. With several produce grading and packing lines along with refrigerated warehouses to support the distribution of product to market. Crops being produced on the three sites include Seedless watermelon, Rockmelons, Honeydew, Broccoli, and Pumpkin.

Reporting to the Manager Director, the National Supply Chain Manager will lead a dedicated team to achieve the supply chain, strategic operational priorities and business objectives across all of our farms. This role will facilitate the smooth day-to-day operations interactions between Sales, Production, Logistic and Farm Operations departments to ensure we meet our customer requirement by planning, analysing, monitoring, and scheduling stock requirements.

Reporting to the Harvest Manager, the Harvest Supervisor will play a key role to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of harvest activities.  The focus of this role is to supervise and coordinate the fruit picking teams, to ensure the harvest is completed to the required standards.

Rombola Family Farms is seeking a passionate and driven Junior Agronomist to join our production team in Griffith, NSW. 

The successful applicant will be a key support to the agronomy team and will assist with pest monitoring, field trials and help manage assessments. They will be responsible for field collections of sap, tissue and soil samples, and prepare the samples for in house analysis as well as by an independent laboratory. The recording and collation of field data, entry and analysis of the data into relevant systems is an important part of the role, while analysing produce to set and maintain standards of quality.
